If you want to be able to run multiple virtual machines comfortably on a laptop or desktop, you need to have a system
that can handle it.
You can complete and perform all demonstrations with just 2 simultaneous virtual machines (Kali & the VM you are
attacking / scanning / working with)

Where do I get the operating systems to install?

Below are links to Official Microsoft sites where they offer various versions of their operating systems on a 90 or 180
day evaluation basis. This is more than enough to build a lab.
I would hope that you purchase the software legitimately if you continue to use it and value it as a tool and resource in
your career. Remember, ethics and integrity are very important in this course, and a very good way to measure that is by
what someone does when no one is looking.

WARNING!

To be able to participate / conduct wireless exercises, you must have an external Wireless card that is compatible with
kali and capable of advanced features that your internal laptop wireless card CANNOT do.

Just to be sure that I am clear. If you own a laptop, the built in graphics card will not work for the wireless hacking
exercises.
Good news though, a card that does work is only 699.00/- on amazon.
